It is weird to think that we’re already at the solstice time since its been pretty rainy and overcast all week (all spring). With as waterlogged as my garden is, and as much as some of the plants are struggling, its hard to think of it as the height of the sun!
One of the cool things about having so many different plants in the garden is that some will do exceptionally well while the others struggle. Its always like this in one way or another. I made the video to show one area of my garden that is doing well, mostly because the Elderflowers, St. John’s Wort, and red clover are really showing off right now. And the milky oats are very milky!
Its always difficult to plan workshops without knowing in advance what is going to be blooming on the actual workshop day. That’s one reason I try to make the workshop topics general enough, so I have some flexibility! The good news is that there are several reproductive/hormone health herbs that at their peak right now - motherwort, red clover, raspberry, mugwort, yarrow, milky oats, and rose - and those will be some of the main ones we focus on/harvest this saturday.
Which reminds, me, I have one spot left for this Saturday’s workshop! Read more here:
