Lauren, I am very upset about all the firings and cuts to not only the park service but, education, social security, health, etc. It only makes sense if you want to take over a country....create chaos at all levels. I think we should do weekly protests at Senators and Representatives offices so they stand up for the people instead of being afraid of Trump/Musk!!

And yes, the senators and reps need to hear how people are being impacted by these cuts. I could have written a lot more about the economic implications to the NPS and USFS staffing cuts. Kentucky's outdoor recreation economy is being a significant economic driver in places like Red River Gorge. Andy Barr in particular needs to hear from us, since there's a good chance he's going to run for Mitch's seat.
